Ms. Luisa M. Vázquez Cruz, Esq. joined Casillas, Santiago & Torres, LLC in May 2024, bringing a diverse legal background in civil and criminal litigation, as well as government and legislative affairs. Prior to this, she served as a Litigation Attorney at a San Juan law firm, focusing on federal tort matters in the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.

Ms. Vázquez Cruz's experience also includes a significant tenure as a white-collar crimes State Prosecutor at the Department of Justice of Puerto Rico, where she investigated, filed, and prosecuted complex cases in numerous Puerto Rico State Courts. Her career further encompasses extensive work in government and legislative affairs, serving as a Legal Advisor to the Governor at La Fortaleza and at the Finance Committee of the Senate of Puerto Rico.

She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico Graduate School of Business. Ms. Vázquez Cruz completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, earning a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude.

Admitted to practice law in Puerto Rico and the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, Ms. Vázquez Cruz is also a Notary Public. Fluent in English and Spanish, she possesses a wide array of skills including legal research and writing, strategic analysis and planning, litigation and trial preparation, and drafting and negotiation of contracts and bills.
