Mr. Juan C. Nieves-González, Esq. is an attorney at Casillas, Santiago & Torres, LLC, where he serves in the Litigation, Insurance and Labor & Employment groups.
Prior to joining CST, he worked for over six (6) years at another firm focusing on civil rights and labor and employment matters. He has experience in conducting direct and cross examinations of witnesses in court, including in civil jury trials before the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. He has also drafted numerous appellate briefs, including for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, as well as the Puerto Rico Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. He has represented clients in claims before numerous administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Anti-Discrimination Unit of the Department of Labor of Puerto Rico. Mr. Nieves-González has experience preparing to take and defend depositions of witnesses in both federal and state cases. He also has ample experience with case management and has drafted a variety of litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses and dispositive motions and other briefs.
Prior to obtaining his law degree, Mr. Nieves González worked for a year as a clerk at a medical malpractice law firm.
