Mr. Israel Fernández-Rodríguez, Esq. is an Attorney at Casillas, Santiago & Torres, LLC, where he serves as an attorney specializing in labor and employment counseling and litigation, in addition to civil and commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Fernández-Rodríguez was a senior associate in the Labor and Employment division of a major law firm in Puerto Rico, where he tenured for five years.

A substantial part of Mr. Fernández-Rodríguez’ practice involves counseling and representing corporate management in litigation before federal and Puerto Rico courts, as well as administrative litigation before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Puerto Rico Department of Labor and Human Resources (PR-DOL) in a broad array of employment and labor matters and litigation, including: employee terminations, reductions in force, reorganizations, complex litigation (i.e. class actions, wage and hour), discrimination/retaliation, sexual harassment, FMLA, arbitration and litigation of labor disputes arising under the National Labor Relations Act, non-compete/solicitation issues, appellate practice, counseling and guidance in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Fernández-Rodríguez has also practiced and represented clients in certain specialized areas of law, including torts, civil rights and immigration law, and has counseled corporations towards the successful prosecution of employees engaged in complex fraud schemes.
