Ms. Paola Susana Ayala Acevedo joined the Litigation Practice Group of Casillas, Santiago & Torres LLC in November 2022. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Ms. Ayala Acevedo was awarded the distinction of highest GPA of her class in the area of International Law.

During her time in law school, she clerked at various government entities such as the Senate of Puerto Rico and the Property Registry of Puerto Rico. She also completed a year of supervised practice in the Environmental Law Legal Aid Clinic where she had the opportunity to work on civil and administrative litigations mainly in the appellate practice.

Ms. Ayala Acevedo also served as Writer for Vols. XC and XCI of the University of Puerto Rico Law Review where she wrote the article “Con el agua hasta el cuello: una mirada sobre la problemática de la definición de la zona marítimo terrestre y su impacto sobre nuestro patrimonio natural”, 91 REV. JUR. UPR 1159 – 1192 (2022).

She obtained her undergraduate degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez in 2019, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
